A native Texan, Robert was born in Longview, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Texas Wesleyan School of Law where he was a member of Law Review. He is a member of the Texas Bar Association, and other professional and community organizations. He is currently the chairman of the City of Southlake Planning and Zoning Commission.
After graduating from the University of Texas, Robert began his career in the insurance industry as an adjuster based in Austin, San Antonio, and DFW. He was assigned to handle all types of claims including auto accidents, homeowners, commercial, and medical malpractice. It was during this time when he quickly learned that honest people with real problems need representation. Having seen both sides of many disputes, his true desire is to help those in need.
In 1994, Robert began his legal career by enrolling at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He became a member of the Texas Bar in 1997 and calling on his years of innovative experience, he has a proven record of problem solving. This approach demonstrates his unwavering determination to protect the interests of clients and hold wrongdoers accountable for their actions. Further, his expertise in solution based negotiations allows families to more quickly restore their independence and dignity following a traumatic life event.
In 1990, Robert moved his family from Austin to Southlake, Texas, where he has lived ever since. Having been through his share of “life events” himself, he is able to understand the emotional toll trauma can have on a family. Most people have suffered at least some traumatic event in their lives, but few have ever maneuvered through the legal system as a result of those events. Robert prides himself on being able to truly counsel his clients while vigorously representing their interest in pending legal matters. His sole desire is to help those who have been injured both emotionally and physically.
Robert also finds time to give back to the community through volunteer efforts. He currently sits as the chairman of the City of Southlake Planning and Zoning Commission. He is a past member of the City of Southlake Zoning Board of Adjustment, Southlake Carroll ISD financial advisory committee, and various other community activities. He and wife Kristi are key volunteers at Special Olympics of Texas. Robert’s son is currently enrolled at George Washington School of Law in Washington, D.C.. His daughter Brook is enrolled at LSU in the pre veterinarian honors program. His daughter Savannah is a sophomore at Carroll High in Southlake. Finally, daughter Haylee is a 7th grader at Dawson Middle School. With two dogs, Bevo and Elvis, his favorite activity is helping those in need and family.
